Two arrested following aggravated burglary where man was assaulted in Dudley

Two people have been arrested following an aggravated burglary where a man in his 50s was assaulted.

A man and a woman, aged 42 and 43, have been arrested just hours after another man was assaulted in his own home during a burglary.

West Midlands Police were called to an address on Islington, Halesowen, at around 8.30pm on October 21, after receiving reports that two people had barged their way into an address.

The victim, who is in his 50s, was pushed past before being assaulted when a man grabbed his throat.

He was then threatened, and jewellery was reportedly stolen from inside his home. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Officers were quick to the scene and within hours located and arrested a 42-year-old man and woman, aged 43, on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

"Both remain in custody as our enquiries continue."
