Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday (July 3) heard evidence from sex worker Vasilica Bornescu, aged 34, who is jointly accused with her partner and pimp Ovidiu Gurita, aged 38, of the murder on May 30, 2023.

The court heard she was with Mr Maragliano from 12.37am to 4.18am at the house in Thorneycroft Lane, Wednesfield and with his consent bit him, slapped him and strangled him, but not to the point of suffocation or tying him up.

She told the court both she and Gurita, when he arrived later, performed a sex act on him but they both stopped short of full sex.
