Dudley shooting: Woman left seriously injured after shots fired through property window
Police have confirmed a woman was seriously injured after shots were fired at a property in Dudley.
West Midlands Police has urged drivers to seek alternative routes following the closure of Priory Road, Dudley after a shooting early on Thursday (July 3) that left a woman with serious injuries.
The force said that the road would be 'closed for some time' while officers carried out enquiries in the area, advising drivers to avoid the area.
A bullet hole was seen in the window of a property in Priory Road. Photos from the scene show holes in the windows of a residential property where the police have taped off a section of the street.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "An investigation has been launched after a woman was shot at an address in Dudley.
"We were called to reports of a firearms discharge at an address in Priory Road, Dudley, just after midnight today. Two shots were fired at an address, and a woman was hit by one of the shots.

"She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains. We understand the concern in the community this incident will raise.
"Officers will remain in the area and be carrying out reassurance patrols. Our investigators are carrying out enquiries to identify who’s involved.
"The road remains closed this morning. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have dash cam or doorbell footage, is asked to get in touch with us via 101, quoting log 66 of 3 July".

On X, they said: "We are carrying out enquiries in Priory Road, Dudley, this morning.
"The road will be closed for some time while our officers carry out their work.
"Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes."

West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car from Cosford to the scene.
"On arrival crews found a woman who they treated for serious injuries, before conveying her under emergency driving conditions to hospital."
A number of bus routes have also been diverted from the route, with National Express West Midlands warning of diversions to regular journeys.
The group said on X: "Due to an emergency services-led incident at Priory Road, Dudley, the X and X8 are on diversion in both directions via: Tipton Road and Birmingham New Road.
"We apologise for any disruption to your journey."
