Jailed: Nine West Midlands criminals who were put behind bars in June including rapists and a drug smuggler
June saw some of the worst criminals in the West Midlands jailed
Every month, criminals appear at courts across the Black Country and Staffordshire for crimes ranging from thefts and vehicle offences to rape and murder.
Here we take a look at nine of the people who were brought to justice for their crimes in our region.
1) Jagdeep Singh

Jagdeep Singh, 43, of Bloomfield Road, Tipton, was jailed for six years and eight months after admitting to smuggling class A drugs. The electrician was part of an Organised Crime Group (OCG) and was tasked with taking receipt of drug deliveries and acting as a warehouse man for the gang.
2) Cornel Filipeche

Cornel Filipeche, of Hawthorn Road, Perry Barr, was sentenced to 10 years on June 6 after pleading guilty to rape, robbery and causing grevious bodily harm. The sentence comes after a woman was brutally attacked and raped near Walsall Road, Perry Barr on January 18.
