Man arrested and woman taken to hospital following stabbing incident on Wolverhampton road
A man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a woman at a house in Wolverhampton.
Officers from West Midlands Police were called to an address on Willenhall Road at around 1.45pm after receiving reports of a woman being found with a stab injury.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service for injuries not believed to be life-threatening before taken to hospital.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody for questioning.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We've arrested a man on suspicion of wounding after a woman was found with a stab injury at an address in Willenhall Road.
"We were called at around 1.45pm and the woman sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A 48-year-old man is currently in custody for questioning."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing on Willenhall Road at 2.11pm, an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.
"She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to hospital by land ambulance."
