Kerry Cast: Last images released by police as mystery continues over woman's death

These are some of the last images of tragic Hednesford woman Kerry Cast, whose death in unexplained circumstances has sparked a major police investigation.

The CCTV stills were released by Staffordshire Police today as they vowed to establish the circumstances around the 40-year-old's death.

Her body was found at her home in Herondale on July 1. She lived alone in a one-bedroom flat for three months and was found by police after concerned neighbours reported her absence.

DCI David Giles, from Staffordshire Police Major and Organised Crime, said: “Kerry Cast was found dead two months ago and these newly released photographs are some of the last images of her alive.

"I hope this will jog the memory of anyone with information or knowledge of the circumstances surrounding her death.

“The investigation needs to establish where Kerry was and who she was with from 1pm on Tuesday 27 June when she returned home to 17 Herondale, Hednesford, to 2.20pm on Saturday 1 July when she was found dead at home by neighbours.”

Mother, Kathy Weaver, 64, from Cannock. She made a heartfelt appeal for information saying she did not believe she would kill herself.
