Masked raiders target Wolverhampton jewellers

Three masked men threatened staff in a robbery at a Wolverhampton jewellers before making off in a getaway car.

The raiders targeted Millers Jewellers in Cleveland Street, Wolverhampton city centre at 12.50pm today getting away with jewellery

Police are now trying to hunt the men who made off towards Snow Hill.

Officers taped off the store and were interviewing staff as they try to piece together the circumstances into the robbery.

Police spokeswoman Catherine Hickman said : "Officers believe three masked men entered the shop and threatened staff before making off with jewellery in a red Audi A3.

"Nobody was seriously injured although staff were shaken by the ordeal. The vehicle was last seen going towards Snow Hill and then into Temple Street.

"Officers continue with ongoing investigations and urge anyone with further information to contact Wolverhampton CID on 101."
