Chinese manufacturer already operates several brands here.

Chery has confirmed that it will launch another new brand in the UK next year.

The new brand, iCAUR, will follow on from Chery’s others, including Omoda, Jaecoo and Lepas.

It’ll operate as a standalone brand in the UK with its own dedicated management team, though it has yet to disclose details of how its dealer network will be deployed.

The iCAUR brand will kick off with the V27, a chunky five-seater SUV with an electrified setup, though the brand has yet to confirm powertrain details. It’s likely that the V27 will use a plug-in hybrid similar to the one used in other Chery cars, which would see it bring a long electric-only range and a four-cylinder petrol engine accompanying it.

However, iCAUR says that the V27 will combine ‘generous materials and a clear focus on usability’ brought through a larger number of physical controls than have been in other Chery models. The V27 has already been awarded the Best Interior Design Award at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards, too.

Initial photos show the V27’s side-hinged boot door, while a roof tent is also pictured atop the car’s rails.

The brand says that the V27 has been fine-tuned for UK buyers through Chery Automobile’s new research and development centre at Milbrook and acts as, what iCAUR says, ‘the first step in establishing iCAUR’s considered, long-term presence in the market’.

Further details regarding the iCAUR brand and the new V27 are expected to be announced in the next few months.
