While there is no information on the car’s cabin, it is likely to have a new dashboard design, as well as an upgraded switchgear and materials.

Underneath, the car will sit on Stellantis’ ‘STLA Medium’ platform and will be available with ‘multi-energy powertrains’, according to the manufacturer. That means choice of petrol, mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric setups is likely to be offered.

The car has been designed in Alfa Romeo’s hometown of Turin, Italy, and will be produced at Stellantis’ Melfi Plant, Italy.

Alfa Romeo will also introduce a new C-segment hatchback that will sit alongside the SUV and will be a replacement for the old Giulietta which rivalled the Volkswagen Golf and Vauxhall Astra.

More details on the car’s exterior design, interior layout and specifications will be revealed when the car makes its debut in the fourth quarter of next year.
