Red lechwes are a type of antelope.

The animal is indigenous to the seasonal wetlands which can be found bordering swamps and rivers in central Africa.

Zookeepers said that the calf is rather difficult to spot in the bushes as the animal has “made the most” of its natural camouflage.

According to West Midlands Safari Park, the species is classed as threatened by the IUCN.
