15 worst Black Country neighbourhoods according to AI may surprise you - or not

The 15 worst neighbourhoods according to an AI chatbot - do you agree?

If you were asked to name the roughest neighbourhoods in the Black Country, I’m sure many would spring to mind, especially for those of us that live and work in our region.

Each day, we are bombarded with plenty of crime stories, and sometimes it can feel as though it’s the same areas that keep cropping up.

So it got us wondering - what would an AI chatbot say are some of the worst neighbourhoods in the Black Country?

Well, I took that task on, and asked ChatGPT the simple question: What are the worst neighbourhoods in the Black Country including Wolverhampton?

AI listed the answer below and came up with 15 neighbourhoods, but before that it summarised its findings using local sources from the internet.

ChatGPT said: “Across the Black Country, the neighbourhoods most often labelled as the “roughest” tend to be concentrated in parts of Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Walsall, and Dudley, where higher crime rates and deprivation are more common.

“In Wolverhampton, areas like Heath Town, Whitmore Reans, and the city centre stand out for crime and social issues, while Sandwell hotspots such as West Bromwich town centre, Great Bridge, and parts of Smethwick and Oldbury see frequent reports of antisocial behaviour and violence.

“In Walsall, Blakenall and parts of Bloxwich are often highlighted due to long-term economic struggles and crime, and in Dudley borough, areas like Tipton, Cradley Heath, Old Hill, and Netherton have similar challenges.

“Overall, these areas tend to face a mix of deprivation, higher population density, and ongoing crime issues, though conditions can vary significantly from one street to the next and many communities are gradually improving.”

Let’s have a peruse below at 15 of the worst neighbourhoods in the Black Country, according to AI:
