Bryony returns with Silhouette - being described as "a dose of ethereal dream-pop" - on April 19.

The track, released via GRRRL GROANNN!!!, is the first of a double B-side following on the heels of her acclaimed second EP Conscious.

The track features Bryony’s trademark almost hushed, wistful, dreamy vocals, her haunting acoustic guitar is back, and there are also distorted synths. It comes with a vivid artwork on the front, created by Sophie Peache.

A GRRRL GROANNN!!! spokesperson describes Silhouette as "a harrowing recollection of a relationship unravelling and the crushing heartache of it ending".

And Bryony herself adds: "Silhouette is the heartbreak song of my lifetime. Written in my home studio late on a winter’s night, the lyrics reflect the state of mind and uncertain influx I was in at the time, and almost still am.

"The track is about the type of heartbreak you suddenly catch your mind constantly wandering back to; a memory that will always stay with me and the discomfort that comes with it. Will I find a love like that again? I’m not sure. But I’ll stalk the hell out of it.”

Bryony has been around for the best part of three years now establishing herself with a brand of personal, unapologetic and progressive indie-folk-pop.

She cites Radiohead, Marika Hackman and Cocteau Twins as her influences, so one who hasn't heard her before can imagine the kind of decadent, cushioned landscapes the 22-year-old can craft.

This year has already seen Bryony highlighted as one of the '25 to watch in the Midlands in 2019’ by BBC WM, and she was shortlisted for Best Album/EP in this year's upcoming Birmingham Music Awards 2019.

On top of her music, Bryony founded the female music collective 'GRRRL GROANNN!!!', which she says was inspired by the Riot Grrrl movement, where "my need to break the patriarchal industry structures and to represent female artists in true underground, DIY fashion takes place through fanzine making, event management and operating as an indie label".

Silhouette will be available on all digital platforms upon its release.
