Beverley Knight returns to Highfields School to watch Grease production
Singing star Beverley Knight returned to her old school at the weekend - and gave her mum a Mothering Sunday treat to remember.
The pair were among the crowd of proud parents who watched the final night of the popular musical Grease at Highfields School, Penn on Saturday.
The soul superstar Tweeted: "Excited to watch 'Grease' tonight at my former school @Highfields_sch. GOOD LUCK KIDS!"
And she had an extra reason to be there because the last time the show was performed at the school she played the lead female role.
The show was put on by pupils aged 11 to 16 – with help from neighbouring special school Penn Fields - and Head of Performance Sharon Bishop said: "Everyone has worked so hard. It really represents the school at its best."
