Blink-182 set for Birmingham LG and NIA double header

Blink-182 will be headlining their first UK arena tour in over eight years later this year, and have just announced their support acts.

The band plays Birmingham NIA on Thursday, June 7, 2012, and Birmingham LG Arena on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

Tickets for both shows are on sale now priced at £33.19 (plus booking and transaction fees) and are available from The Ticket Factory at www.theticketfactory.com or on 0844 338 8000.

The hugely successful band will be joined by All American Rejects on all dates, with Four Year Strong and Twin Atlantic appearing on selected dates.

The band, was formed in San Diego in 1992 by Mark Hoppus and Tom De Longe and later joined by drummer Travis Barker.

Blink-182's breakthrough album, Enema Of The State, was released in 1999 and went on to sell in excess of 15 million copies worldwide. Their next two albums, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket (2001) and Blink-182 (2003) cemented their position as a pop punk supergroup.

Additionally the band have won a number of MTV Awards throughout their career. Their latest album Neighborhoods was released last year, and the tour will feature a variety of tracks from their entire discography.

On June 7, the band will play at the NIA with Four Year Strong. Then, on June 16, Blink-182 will be supported by Twin Atlantic at the LG Arena. Both dates will see All American Rejects as the main support act.
