Indian restaurant that grew from a back garden in the Black Country scoops Uber Eats award

A Black Country business has won an award at the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards for 2023.

Taste from India, based in Brierley Hill, and its owners Rashpal Singh, 40 and his partner, Kelly Pooler, 46, were given the 'Community Impact Award', in the pioneers and innovators award section.

On Thursday, October 5, the team travelled down to London for the Uber Eats Awards ceremony, and they came back with a trophy.

The business was started off in a kitchen that was built in their back garden during the Covid lockdown in 2020, but now, after so much growth, the business has a premises on High Street, Brierley Hill.
