Bonfire Night 2018: This year's top events in the West Midlands

Bonfire Night is set to go off with a bang across the West Midlands with a variety of fireworks displays and entertainment for all the family.

Here, in chronological order, are our top picks of bonfires and firework displays happening across the region - get your gloves and woolly hats ready!

October 27 - Holland Park, Brownhills

The Brownhills Holland Park bonfire event is back with a new display for 2018.

The event will include a dazzling firework display, bonfire, as well as funfair rides and catering stalls.

Tickets are priced at £4 for adults and £1 for children.

Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the firework display will start after 8pm.

November 1 - Willenhall Memorial Park

With fun fair rides and food in the Park Pavilion, there's something for all the family to enjoy at Willenhall Memorial Park's bonfire and fireworks display.

Tickets are priced at £4 for adults and £1 for children.

Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm, and the firework display will start after 8pm.

November 2 to 4 - Drayton Manor, Tamworth

Whether you want to celebrate the ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ or merely boogie on down to British classics from Queen, Oasis or The Beatles - head to Drayton Manor for the Best Of British bonfire event.

Fitting with the theme there will be a series of culinary classics on offer such as fish and chips, pie and mash, strawberries and cream and even a good old curry.

Tickets cost £6 for children aged two to three, £23 for children aged four to 11, and £28 for adults aged 12 to 59.

The park will be open from 10am, with rides starting at 10.30am. The Best of British fireworks display will begin from 7pm and the park will close at 9pm.

November 2 - Wolverhampton Racecourse

The City of Wolverhampton Bonfire Night returns for its fourth year at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

The fun-filled family-friendly evening will include a fun fair, food outlets, a food court, various bars, music and entertainment from official media partner Signal 107.

Tickets cost £3 for children in advance and £4 on the gate. Adult tickets cost £5 in advance and £6 on the gate.

Gates open at 5pm with the children's firework display beginning at 7pm. The bonfire begins at 7.30pm and the main firework display starts at 8.30pm.

November 2 - Wolverhampton Rugby Union Football Club

Enjoy a family-friendly event with fantastic fireworks at Wolverhampton Rugby Club.

The event will include music, stalls, fairground rides, a giant slide and bouncy castle as well as hot refreshments and a licensed bar.

Tickets cost £3 for children, £5 for adults, and £10 for a family ticket of two adults and two children or one adult and three children.

Gates open at 6pm and the bonfire is lit at 7pm. Fireworks begin at 8pm.

November 2 - Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich

Tickets are selling quickly to Darmouth Park's upcoming Bonfire Night event.

Entertainment on the night will also include a junior fair, live entertainment, glow lights, a licensed bar, plus hot and cold food stalls.

Tickets cost £3 for children and £5 for adults. A family ticket for two adults and two children cost £12.

Gates will open at 5pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. Fireworks begin at 7.45pm.

November 2 - Halesowen Cricket Club

Enjoy fairground rides and hot food at Halesowen Cricket Club's bonfire and fireworks event.

Those who buy tickets online ahead of the event will have access to fast-track entry - so they can enjoy all of the entertainment a whole lot faster.

Tickets cost £5.50 for adults, £8.50 for adults, and £22 for a family ticket.

Gates open at 5.30pm, with firework displays taking place at 7pm and 8.30pm.

November 3 to 4 - Alton Towers

Alton Towers' sensational fireworks spectacular is back for 2018.

This event is the last chance visitors will have to enjoy the park's stellar attractions before the 2018 season comes to an end.

Tickets start from just £5 for pass holders, up to £65 for a short break including an overnight stay.

Fireworks start from 7pm with guests advised to arrive on the Front Lawns for 6.45pm.

November 3 - Himley Hall and Park, Dudley

Himley Hall and Park will light up the night sky with its annual bonfire event returns - and a discount of up to 20 percent is available when people book in advance online.

A towering bonfire of 1,500 pallets will be the centrepiece of the event, accompanied by a 25-minute firework display, while a unique tribute will be paid to soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War.

And for the first time ever, the event will have a premium viewing area on the South Lawns near the hall with uninterrupted views of the fireworks, a private bar, street entertainers and seating.

These premium tickets will be strictly limited and only available online.

Visitors can also enjoy the Heart 100.7 roadshow, a giant funfair, a night market from LSD Promotions, live entertainment and seasonal refreshments.

Tickets are priced at £5.50 for children and senior citizens, £10 for adults, and £24 for a family of two adults and two children.

Gates open at 4.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7.45pm. The firework display begins at 8.30pm.

November 3 - Walsall Arboretum

Walsall Arboretum's bonfire and firework event is back for the fourth year in a row.

The team from Free Radio are returning with their giant screen and stage and entertainment will include Queen of the Black Country Doreen Tipton and two-time BRIT award winner Lemar.

New for 2018 is a second entertainment stage, which will feature fire acts and an Alice in Wonderland stage show.

Pat Collins Funfair will also be keeping thrillseekers entertained, while a variety of food and drink will be sold.

Tickets are priced at £4 for children, £9 for adults, and £24 for a family ticket of two adults and two children.

Gates open at 5pm, with live music starting on the Free Radio stage from 5.30pm.

The Fire Act Show begins at 6pm, followed by the Alice in Wonderland show at 6.45pm and the bonfire lighting at 7pm.

Doreen Tipton will take to the stage at 7.10pm followed by the fire act at 7.30pm on the second stage, and Lemar on the Free Radio Stage.

Fireworks begin at 8pm.

November 3 - Edgbaston Stadium

The Edgbaston Fireworks Display is back after selling out in 2017.

On top of the display and bonfire, there will be an onsite fairground, face painting, guest entertainers, and a variety of food and drink stalls.

Tickets cost £5 for children, £10 for adults, and £25 for two adults and two children.

Gates open at 5.30pm, with the fair closing at 7.15pm for fireworks. Pitch entertainment starts at 7.30pm and the fair re-opens at 8pm.

November 3 - Albrighton Cricket Club

Enjoy a great bonfire night out for all the family at Albrighton Cricket Club.

The club’s bar will be open with a wide range of drinks on offer, including hot drinks and food to purchase as you enjoy the fireworks

There will also be prizes for the annual Build a Guy Fawkes competition.

Tickets cost £5 per car or £2 per walk in adult.

Bonfire is lit at £6.30pm followed by fireworks.

November 3 - Pillaton Hall, Penkridge

A bonfire with a medieval twist is coming to Penkridge.

The event will see entertainment from the likes of The Knights of Middle England, as seen at Warwick Castle, in an electrifying joustin tournament.

There will also be live music, a magician, Peter Taunton the town crier, fair rides, stalls, and so much more.

Tickets cost £1 for infants, £5 for children, and £10 for adults. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £25.

Gates open at 3pm with the bonfire to be lit at 6.30pm, followed by fireworks at 7pm.

November 4 - Stafford Cricket and Hockey Club

Head along and join in with the annual family fireworks night at Stafford Cricket and Hockey Club.

The family event will have a BBQ, stalls, hot drinks, licensed bar, and sparklers to dazzle little ones.

Tickets cost £5 for adults, and accompanied children go free.

November 4 - Weston Park, Shifnal

Tickets for the giant Weston Park bonfire are charged per car load.

There is plenty on offer with a fun fair, food stalls and licensed bar all set in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown Parkland.

Tickets cost £16 per car, covering up to six people.

The bonfire is lit at 5.30pm, with firework displays taking place at 6pm and 7.30pm.

November 4 - Stafford County Showground

The Rotary Club of Stafford Castle is holding its second Firework Extravaganza at the Stafford County Showground.

There won't be a bonfire, but there will be a fun fair, live music, and lots of food outlets for visitors to enjoy.

Tickets cost £2 for children and £5 for adults.

Gates open at 4pm with fireworks starting at 7pm.

November 5 - Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Watch fireworks dance across the night sky at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

From Catherine Wheels to Roman Candles, witness a spectacular 10-minute display of fizzling fireworks - and don’t forget your sparklers.

Tickets cost £5.25 for children and £8 for adults.

November 10 to 11 - West Midland Safari Park

The Firework Festival Weekend returns for its tenth year with fireworks, a roaring bonfire, late-night rides and more.

On top of this, vsitors will be able to enjoy the park's attractions such as the brand new Ice Age, Land of the Living Dinosaurs, Lorikeet Landing, Creepy Crawlies, Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World, African Village and the popular Sea Lion Show.

Tickets cost £8 for children and £16 for adults. A child ride wristband costs £8, and an adult ride wristband costs £14.

Doors open at 1pm with last entry at 6pm.

The bonfire will be lit at 5.45pm, followed by fireworks at 6.30pm.

November 10 - Bridgnorth Rugby Club

The Firework Extravaganza at Bridgnorth Rugby Club will return for 2018.

Visitors can enjoy live music, a BBQ and pig roast, as well as a fully licensed bar.

Gates open at 5pm with the junior display starting at 7pm. The main display will then begin at 7.45pm.

November 10 - Penkridge Market

Penkridge Scout Group will once again host their bonfire event at Penkridge Market.

The event will host a variety of fun stalls, food, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy, all in aid of raising money for the Scout group.
