A talented 13-year-old from Walsall has been knocked out of ITV's The Voice Kids show.

Martha Moxon, part of Danny Jones' team on the show, made it to the battle stages but was knocked out ahead of the semi-finals.

The Aldridge School pupil performed a rendition of U2's With or Without You alongside fellow competitors Conor and Wren.

Around 11,500 budding singers applied for the show, with Martha reaching the final 36.

The singers were given a round of applause before coach Danny made his decision.

The McFly guitarist said on the show: "Those three, they smashed it.

"The control of it and the focus and the mindset that you got into for this song, I applaud you massively."

The coach said he "had to go with his gut" in choosing Conor.

He said after the decision: "These guys have been amazing.

"Honestly, everything you've done has impressed me – you sang amazing."

Martha and Wren were given hugs by the judges before leaving the stage.
