CBeebies Land Hotel at Alton Towers opens

Alton Towers Resort has opened the doors to the brand new and highly anticipated CBeebies Land Hotel.

The world’s only CBeebies Land Hotel is designed exclusively for pre-schoolers and young families and features 76 fully themed rooms.

The hotel is home to its own dedicated entertainment area, restaurant and a whimsical reception area which includes a central CBeebies Bugbie storybook feature with interactive lights and audio.

On arrival at the entrance, guests are greeted by the CBeebies Land plane and a brightly coloured lit rainbow archway, welcoming them into a whole new world that will spark their imagination. Children will also meet some of their favourite characters within the hotel including Postman Pat, Bing and Little Monster.

All rooms in the CBeebies Land Hotel are designed with a separate area for children and parents and include a children’s entertainment wall with interactive play items.

With a range of rooms designed to sleep up to seven people, CBeebies Bugbies adorn the standard rooms while premium rooms are themed to Swashbuckle, Something Special, In The Night Garden, Postman Pat and Octonauts.

In keeping with the design aimed at young children, every room has toddler friendly features such as bathroom steps to the sink, children’s toilet seats, baby baths and a cot. The hotel also provides five fully accessible rooms, designed to take into account the needs of those with special requirements.

With a jam-packed 14-hour entertainment schedule for all guests to delight in, CBeebies Land Hotel guests can enjoy meet and greets with characters Bing and Postman Pat, a Swashbuckle game show and Andy’s Prehistoric Quest in which children will follow the clues to find the missing prehistoric items. There will also be the chance to join Bing in a live show and dance the night away at Ubercorn’s disco. As darkness falls, guests can take part in some stargazing with the CBeebies Land Hotel presenters. before a restful night ready for an action packed day!

The brand new hotel is located in the heart of Alton Towers Resort, and just a stone’s throw from its iconic theme park, meaning guests can play all day in CBeebies Land before returning to the hotel to carry on the fun.

Launched in 2014, CBeebies Land is bigger than ever for 2017, with the addition of two brand new experiences earlier this year: Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride and The Furchester Hotel Live Show. CBeebies Land Hotel guests will be able to enjoy an extra hour exploring all of the amazing CBeebies Land attractions, before the park opens for the morning. Families can also take on the Big 6 Challenge all this summer and get a free return ticket. It challenges guests to take on the big 6 rollercoasters – Smiler, TH13TEEN, Rita, Oblivion, Nemesis and Galactica – in one day and receive a free return ticket.

Participants simply download the free Alton Towers App, swipe at the check-in points when they exit each rollercoaster. On completion they get a special code to use for their free return ticket. As they do the challenge they have the chance to snap their progress at each rollercoasters selfie station.

The challenge will see guests complete more than 20 loops, freefall drops and speeds of 68mph as they take on the park’s six world-renowned coasters. The challenge runs from now until the end of summer – www.altontowers.com/big6/
