The Assist, who hail from Walsall and will release their new single Wonderful on March 15, will mark the occasion with a show at The Grain Store three days later on March 18.

The song was given its first airing earlier this month on Radio X by DJ Gordon Smart and follows on from their last release Tell Her How You Feel.

Lead singer Mikey Stanton, whose 21st birthday coincides with the show, said the band were excited to be playing the gig.

He said: "We are buzzing to be playing The Grain Store.

"We feel Wonderful is our strongest single yet so what better way to get it out there than a Wolverhampton gig.

"It has been a few months since we played Wolves so I am sure it is going to be a mad one."
