One of the founding members of chart topping Birmingham group Dexys Midnight Runners embarks on an exciting new phase of his career next month.
Pete Williams, bassist with Dexys, launches his debut solo album See with a special show at The Glee Club, Birmingham, on Tuesday, February 21.
Tickets cost £10 in advance from 0871 472 0400 or www.glee.co.uk/birmingham
Recorded with his band of merry Midlanders, See also features guitar playing from Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley.
"We can smell each other out," said Hawley. "Pete smells good and is a damn fine man and musician."
Williams has also been championed by former Dexys frontman Kevin Rowland and Irish star Imelda May.
Markus Sargeant, music promoter at The Glee Club, said: "We're delighted to host this very special show. Pete Williams is a Midlands gem, universal talent and one of the most satisfying live artists."
