It is the first award win for the Cannock Chase-based business, which recently celebrated its third anniversary.

The achievement follows Red Rose Media & Marketing being named a finalist in the Best Digital Marketing Agency category at The UK Small Business Awards in August.

Run by marketing and communications specialist Penny Gibbs, Red Rose Media & Marketing provides tailored digital marketing support, content, websites, social media and practical training.

Penny works with small businesses in the Cannock Chase area and specialises in supporting therapy, treatment and wellbeing businesses and charities, drawing on her 16-year career in NHS communications.

The Prestige Awards celebrate small and independent businesses that consistently provide outstanding products and services. Winners are chosen on merit, with judges considering areas including service excellence, quality, value, innovation and consistency.

In making their decision, the judges highlighted Red Rose Media & Marketing’s five-star Google rating and the personal feedback clients have shared about working with Penny.

They also recognised her tailored approach, the value she provides and the knowledge she brings from 20 years working in communications and marketing.

Penny said: “I was shocked when I received the call. To be recognised by the Prestige Awards feels very special.

“Being named a finalist in The UK Small Business Awards was exciting, but this is the first time Red Rose Media & Marketing has actually won an award. I’m ridiculously excited and very proud.

“Digital marketing began as an interest alongside my communications career. People gradually started asking me to help with their businesses, and eventually it became my full-time job.

“Three years on, I’ve built a business I’m really proud of. Winning this award has made me stop and realise how far it has come.

“The feedback mentioned by the judges means a lot because it comes from the people I work with. I always want clients to feel that I understand their business and that the support I give them is personal, useful and worth investing in.”

The judges were also shown examples of Penny’s work and the results achieved by her clients.

During one 17-month project, a client saw a 122.5 per cent increase in active website users, generated more than 44 million social media impressions and grew its LinkedIn following by 218 per cent.

Penny also helped the client introduce clearer planning, processes and content systems, giving the organisation a more structured and consistent approach to its marketing and communications.

Her wider work includes helping businesses improve their website content, strengthen their online visibility, communicate more clearly and create marketing that is easier to manage consistently.

The judges also recognised Penny’s commitment to sharing her marketing experience through training courses.

Her practical training helps small business owners build their confidence and use AI as a tool to support their social media more effectively, while retaining their own judgement, personality and business voice.

Penny added: “I wouldn’t have reached this point without the clients who have trusted me with their businesses over the past three years.

“Every project, recommendation and piece of feedback has helped me build Red Rose Media & Marketing into what it is today. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of it.”

Penny will officially receive the award at the Central England Prestige Awards ceremony in May 2027.
