But this photograph with the romantic image of a couple enjoying the picturesque scene was taken from Chasewater Country Park near Brownhills.

Great-grandfather Stuart Mayo managed to catch the shot of the sun peering through the cloud from the walkway near the water's edge.

As the darkness starts to fall it reflects the ending of the summer heading into the autumn.

It's one of dozens of great sunset pictures we've had sent in to our Star Witness showcase of readers pictures.

With the permission of the couple, Mr Mayo took the photograph around the time of the end of August, early September at around 9.30pm. He is a regular visitor to the country park and having re-ignited his interest in photography around three years ago often has his camera with him to catch a shot of the idyllic surroundings.

The 51 year-old, of Lichfield Road, New Invention, said he was drawn to take the picture due to the sunset in the background. With the clear sky making a 'gorgeous' scene.

"It has all the colours and with the couple it adds to the overall feeling, it was quite a romantic setting," he said. "It is just warming, it captures the end of a sunny day, when it is just about cooling down."

Mr Mayo, who is a member of the Focal Point photography group initially started taking pictures in the early 1970s.

He said Chasewater is an ideal location to take such endearing pictures and helped to rekindle his interest.

"You have got the water and the scenery with the trees and the wildlife

"It is space to have a walk, have a think and a bit of exercise. I have always got my camera on me.

"It is the whole process really of creating a photo from seeing a potential one, to taking it."
