Kenny Jackett's team haven't won since January 12 and their supporters angrily turned on his players at the end of the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield.

Coady spoke of the bitter disappointment felt by him and his team-mates, admitting: "I'm desperately disappointed. Chins were on the floor in the changing room.

"The results aren't great. For a club like Wolves it's not good enough. We need to put it right as a club, as a team. We need to build ourselves back up and quickly because we've got another game on Tuesday."

The 22-year-old, who returned to his former club for the first time, is glad of having another game so soon afterwards as Wolves look to arrest their slump.

And of the fans, Coady believes it is imperative for the players to give them some hope. Of supporters turning against the team, Coady said: "We can't let that happen.

"We're the team, we're the club, we can't let that happen. They're a massive part of this and a massive part of us going forward. We need to keep them on side.

"There's enough character to turn this around. Teams go through slumps and bad form, we're doing that at the minute.

"It's up to us to get out of it, build our confidence back up, keep on trying to play, working hard.

"We need to start bringing these wins out, we need to build up that confidence and start winning. And we need to do that starting on Tuesday.

"Clinically, we need to take our chances. We've had a couple of half chances, but it's just (about) being clinical.

"In the second-half, we disrupted the way they play and had a couple of chances, probably should have scored.

"But, defensively, we need to tighten up. I think it was a 0-0 game, we could have scored, the goal from our point of view was really sloppy."
