Kenny Jackett accepts Wolves' criticism

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has vowed to accept any criticism levelled at the club and proclaimed 'it's my responsibility.'

Supporters turned on chief executive Jez Moxey during Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Preston, with chants against both him and also want-away owner Steve Morgan.

Jackett was also admonished with chants of 'you don't know what you're doing' when he made a late substitution.

But rather than try to deflect any criticism, he told the Express & Star: "The responsibility goes with myself.

"And it goes with the players. And if the supporters see on the pitch a good performance, a winning performance, a cohesive performance, then they'll get behind the team.

"And when they see what they don't like, they won't. I accept that.

"It's our responsibility to make sure that both performances and results pull us away from 12th and start to climb up into the upper reaches of the division."

Wolves travel to Huddersfield this Saturday with the season looking all but over. Jackett's team are 11 points off the top six and 14 ahead of the relegation zone.

He added: "I understand there's a lot of criticism around. Jez can speak for himself, as can Steve Morgan.

"In terms of myself, I see that there is a disenchantment. I do see the criticism. I can see it, I can hear it, I'm obviously very aware of it.

"The big thing to put it right is performances on the pitch. It always has been and always will be. My job is to make sure that we get results and move up the table and be competing with the top sides.

"Ultimately that's what everybody wants.

"It will go off what they see, it's my job to put that team together, to organise them, to coach them, to make it a cohesive and ultimately a winning performance, that's what it's about. That's where my focus is."
