The 18-year-old was due to spend the full season at Molineux but has been called back by the Reds after a lack of recent action.

Ojo made 19 appearances in all competitions for Wolves – seven of them starts – but had played only two minutes as a substitute in the last seven games.

He scored three goals during his stay, in which he made his best impact when used as a substitute.

"We thank Sheyi for what he has done for us and we thank Liverpool as well," said Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett.

"He had a big effect for us coming on as an impact substitute.

"He is still young and I think he has a big future and with time and experience will go on to become a very good player.

"I am sure the six months he has had with us will be put to good use and he will go on and progress his career.

"We have seen Jordan Graham emerge in his position and for everyone concerned I think this is the best option.

"Sheyi can now either progress with Liverpool's Under-21s or go out and get a loan spell where he has more chance of playing regularly.

"We wish him all the best."
