The league match against Middlesbrough has been switched to Molineux (kick-off 7pm) to allow the youngsters a rare opportunity to play at the 31,700 capacity stadium.

Of course, the ground won't be anywhere near full, but Gill has urged fans to turn up and see what talents lie within the academy.

"Hopefully they'll see a good game," he said. "Wolves will play a style of football, I guarantee that. I can't guarantee a result, no-one can.

"Let's urge a few people in to come and watch the game and see what's going on within the academy."

Gill has told his players to treat the game like any other.

"It's just a piece of grass with some white lines on it and you're going to play a game of football," he said. "It's easier said than done! That's the way I approached it.

"There is some good work going on within the academy, right the way through.

"It's important we have almost like a celebration if you like, of that, and say come on then lets's have a look and see what Wolves are trying to produce here."

With Steve Morgan's multi-

million pound investment in the Wolves academy, the pressure is on Gill, academy boss Gareth Prosser and others to produce first-team standard players.

"We don't hide away from the fact there's a lot of investment gone into this academy," Gill said. "There is pressure. We have to get individuals through, but the key to it is staying consistent.

"It's important we all stay consistent as staff and players. The performances are there and we're getting results as well."

"People will always look at results. Of course you want to win, that's a natural attitude as a sports person.

"As a coach, it's hard sometimes to think about the bigger picture, but you have to do that.

"The bigger picture is about these kids coming through and trying to get them in the first team and getting as many as we can over the line to sign professional contracts.

"If we can get results along the way as well, playing the right way, we've done pretty much our task in hand."
