Message boards and social media have been besieged by supporters critical of Jackett's tactics and team selection for the 1-0 loss at Bristol City.

Many have questioned the head coach's future at the club, although it is believed Jackett is under no immediate danger of being sacked.

Wolves have lost four of their last five matches and sit 14th in the table, with prospects of a push at the play-offs hanging in the balance.

Some of the 1,200 who travelled to Ashton Gate chanted 'you don't know what you're doing' when Jackett replaced Conor Coady with Matt Doherty 12 minutes from time, while there were boos at full-time from fans angry with the team's underachievement.

The Wolves boss has remained positive throughout the recent bad spell and says his team can 'fix it', starting against Burnley on Saturday.

"We have got enough to fix it," he said. "We have got an opportunity to put that right against Burnley with a home game.

"We have to get our full energy, set out to attack and give the opposition problems."

Afobe has scored seven in 17 matches this season, but is goalless in his last four and was hauled off at half-time against Bristol City.

Jackett paired Adam Le Fondre with Grant Holt in the second half.

Despite Afobe's recent off-colour performances, Jackett said he was capable of finding his form again.

"I felt it wasn't happening for him, and I wanted to see what Le Fondre and Holt could do as a pair," he said. "We didn't get a service to them, or physically we didn't trouble the Bristol City defence. As the game went on it looked less likely.

"He'll have to bounce back from it."
