Wolves have lost two on the bounce and were booed off after a desperately poor 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Wednesday night.

They return to Molineux looking to beat a Middlesbrough team who have picked up just one point in their past three games. And captain Batth – who admitted Wolves 'went through the motions' against Brentford – demanded a big improvement from the side.

"We've got to vent our frustration," Batth said ahead of the Boro game.

"It's alright talking about it but it's about going out there and doing it on Saturday and making sure we're flying out of the traps.

"It's not something we're proud of (the Brentford defeat) but we'll hopefully come out fighting on Saturday with the spirit we've shown in the past.

"There are fans paying good money to watch us play – we've got to put on a better display for them."

Dominic Iorfa misses the game through suspension, although he picked up a knee injury on Wednesday that would have kept him out anyway.

That leaves four senior defenders available, with Matt Doherty likely to return to the XI.

Batth said Wolves needed to be tighter at the back and work as a unit.

He added: "It's not the sort of Wolves team we intend to be.

"The spirit's fine, it's not anything in the changing room, we're all together.

"While we're out there we've got to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

"We can shout and bawl as much as we want but we've got to improve our performances.

"We've not looked ourselves for the past two games."

Wolves could be in line for their biggest crowd of the season with around 22,000 tickets sold, including 2,500 from Boro.
