Wolves winger Jordan Graham is on the verge of moving to League Two side Oxford United for a one-month loan deal.

Graham has been on the fringes of the first-team picture this season and has yet to make his debut for Wolves.

After some impressive performances for the under-21s last year many expected the 20-year-old to stake a claim for Bakary Sako's vacant left-wing berth.

But Graham was surprisingly left out of the pre-season tour to France and, despite playing and scoring in Wolves' final friendly against Doncaster in early August, has yet to appear in a first-team matchday squad in either the Championship or Capital One Cup.

The Us, managed by former Albion midfielder Michael Appleton, could hand Graham his Oxford bow tomorrow night against York City if the deal goes through in time, their first match of five in 15 days.

Kenny Jackett said recently of former Villa youngster Graham, who joined Wolves last January: "I think he's a promising young player. Yes he's under consideration, right footed, played mainly down the left side, although he can play right as well, can beat a man.

"He'll either come under first team consideration very quickly now or he'll go out on loan and get some experience to be able to work his journey into our first team.

"He's one I'm looking at closely."

Wolves already have Lee Evans (Bradford City), Liam McAlinden (Shrewsbury Town), Zeli Ismail (Burton Albion) and goalkeepers Aaron McCarey (Portsmouth) and Harry Burgoyne (Lowestoft Town) out on loan to lower-league clubs.
