So Doug, what kind of player is Coady?

"He's more of a holding midfielder than an attacking one, but he's got the potential to branch out and player in a few different midfield roles.

"Last season he formed a triangle with Jacob Butterfield and Jonathan Hogg and they all said they could each play each others' roles.

"But it was Butterfield who pushed forward and Hogg and Coady were the ones that sat.

"Some Huddersfield fans said Coady didn't get enough goals or assists but he was never in the opposition penalty area, he tended to sit back."

What are his main strengths?

"He's tall, strong and decent in the air. He'll put his foot in too but he's not reckless.

"Very occasionally he'll be a bit rash but that's him being more high-spirited than reckless.

"He showed his attacking potential at times too and we glimpses of that when, for example, he scored that goal against Wolves at Molineux.

"He can also play at centre half – he played there a few times and did alright.

How about weaknesses?

"He's maybe a little-bit one paced, but there's nothing there than can't be worked on.

"Also he was a bit inconsistent last year, as he admitted himself, and had a bit of a dip after Christmas.

"I guess you do wonder, if he's so good why did Liverpool let him go?

"But then it's hard for a young player these days to make their mark at a big club like Liverpool."

What's he like off the field?

"He's a typical Scouser but very level headed and likes a laugh and joke

"He's friendly with everyone

"There's no ego there, he's very down to earth, when you're chatting to him he's just like a normal guy off the street."

Is this a good deal for Wolves?

"It won't have gone down particularly well with the Huddersfield fans but it's a good deal all round.

"Good for Conor as he's moved to a big club which could soon be in the Premier League, good for Huddersfield as they've made a tidy profit and had 12 months' service from him. And good for Wolves because they're getting a very good player.

"I think it's come pretty much out of the blue for Conor but I'd expect him to do well and £2m could be good value.

"He's got the potential to improve and play in the Premier League."
