The first-choice has suffered a minor knee injury and misses the weekend trip, joining captain Danny Batth on the sidelines.

Tomasz Kuszczak is fit to replace Ikeme, after a groin injury prevented him from being on the bench last Saturday against Ipswich.

Head of medical Phil Hayward said: "It's a fairly minor problem with his right knee.

"He did it in training - he just felt himself rotate and felt a bit of pain there and it's irritated the side of the knee.

"It's nothing structural or serious, it's just enough discomfort not to be able to play with. It shouldn't keep him out for too long but he's not going to be ready for Saturday unfortunately.

"There are things he's still not able to do such as kicking so he won't be available for this weekend but, at this point, he has a chance of being available for the Millwall game."

Batth was ruled out for around three months earlier today, with a stress fracture to the inside of his left foot sustained in Saturday's 1-1 draw.

The 24-year-old skipper will undergo surgery next Tuesday.

The good news for Wolves is that Bakary Sako, who had been a doubt for the weekend with a groin injury, is 100 per cent fit.
