Nouha Dicko believes Benik Afobe is good enough to take the Premier League by storm – but wants his strike partner to prove his top flight pedigree with Wolves.

Afobe is the talk of the Championship having scored ten goals in 16 appearances since joining for £2million from Arsenal in January. And it has seen him linked with arch rivals Albion and Crystal Palace.

Dicko has no doubt the 22-year-old would flourish in the top division but after helping fire Kenny Jackett's men into the Championship play-off positions, hopes his Premier League bow comes at Molineux.

"You can see that he is scoring goals and having a fantastic season and I really think in the Premier League he wouldn't have any problems playing," said Dicko.

"I hope that he will stay here and do it because he is a fantastic player.

"He would have something to prove to himself because people would expect him to do well there, but when you have this kind of expectation it is only because you have done really well and that's good for him."

Afobe and Dicko's goals – together with those from Bakary Sako – have helped drive Wolves' current four-game winning run.

And Mali international Dicko believes that is down to the understanding they have developed.

"Afobe is a great player," said Dicko. "He has everything for him to go forward in the future.

"He is a good player and we understand each other well off the pitch, which helps on the pitch.

"With his qualities and mine, defenders are not really happy to play against us.

"You could see that on Monday and hopefully there is more to come because we are young and we need to be hungry and I think that's how we are.

"Benik and I have a really good relationship off the pitch and that helps.

"He has kept it going here and we're all happy he's doing that.

"It's a great joy to play with him and I hope it will go on for a long time."
