The 32-year-old Pole has kept three clean sheets in eight appearances since replacing the injured Carl Ikeme between the posts.

Kuszczak joined Wolves in November after impressing on trial, having been released by the Seagulls at the end of last season.

And ahead of Saturday's visit to the south coast, the former Albion and Manchester United shot-stopper claims he'd be keen to stay at Molineux if he gets offered a new deal at the end of the season.

His current contract, signed in January, runs until June.

"It's my ambition," he said. "But I have to do my job and see what the club want to decide, simple as that.

"The club gave me a hand because I didn't have a club for a couple of months.

"I had been training with Oldham and waited for the right club to possibly move to and Wolverhampton came and offered me the opportunity and I took it.

"I think it's a great club and I try to give 100 per cent and we'll see what happens at the end of the season.

"If I'm going to be offered a contract then great. If not, I'll move on, it's as simple as that."

Kuszczak has proved an able replacement for Ikeme, who suffered a broken metatarsal in January.

And he added: "I feel settled. I know the Midlands and I know the club now.

"It's part of my life now because I'm here in the morning and have breakfast and lunch.

"We sweat together outside, we try to win the games together – I'm part of the team.

"When I change clubs I'm always quite open-minded and I always find good friends."
