Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards hopes a clash with his favourite opponents tonight can help push him towards his 10-goal target for the season.

Edwards took his tally to seven with a goal in Saturday's 5-0 demolition of Rotherham at Molineux.

And he is hoping tonight's meeting with Fulham can take him closer to double figures.

Edwards has scored three goals in four games against Fulham, including two in the FA Cup third-round replay the last time the sides met in January at Molineux and one in a 2-1 Premier League win in 2009, also at home.

"I was delighted to get a goal on Saturday," said Edwards.

"I hadn't been going up for corners but then we changed it a little bit.

"It gets me up to seven and I'd really like to get to 10 this season which would be a good milestone for me personally.

"But the main thing is to keep winning games and keep ourselves involved in the shake-up."

Wolves' big win against the Millers increased hopes of an end-of-season promotion charge and Edwards said: "It was enjoyable and you have to enjoy days like that.

"As ever there were still things during the game to improve on but it was nice to get some goals for the fans.

"We've had a lot of cagey games this season and to be comfortable halfway through the second half was nice.

"Nouha Dicko and Benik Afobe were brilliant again on Saturday.

"Dicko's pace and Benik's movement mean we've got a lot going for us up front at the moment.

"With those two and then Sako, James Henry, Rajiv, Michael Jacobs and Kevin Doyle coming back in which was nice to see, there are some really good attacking players here.

"The gaffer will have a headache most games of who to pick and which combinations to use but it will be a nice problem for him.

"Our philosophy is to pass the ball and we tried to go back to that on Saturday.

"Sometimes when you're under pressure it has to go down the channel but now we know Benik, Nouha and Bakary have the potential to make something out of nothing.

"It's important to have that variety and not just the possession game with short passing but also a longer pass as well.

"Benik's first goal on Saturday came from a great ball from Kevin McDonald and that pace and movement can cause problems."
