Wolves still want to add another striker

Boss Kenny Jackett insists Wolves remain in the hunt for more fire-power this January transfer window after sending striker Danny Graham back to Sunderland.

Graham's six-week loan stay at Molineux expired yesterday and with Nouha Dicko now fit and available for the next month after being left out of Mali's African Cup of Nations squad, Jackett has opted not to extend it.

But the head coach is adamant Dicko's international omission has merely clarified and not changed Wolves' plans to strengthen the forward line in the transfer window.

They stand to lose winger Bakary Sako after this Saturday's FA Cup third round clash with Fulham and Jackett said: "It has clarified it and at least we know where we are.

"It's very difficult to replace two people for maybe up to five games. At least it has clarified the situation for us, albeit just before the window opens."

"We are looking to strengthen different areas but front line I would say is one area we are looking at."

Jackett intends to explore both loan and permanent targets.

"I would say it is a combination, I would not just restrict it to loan players," he said. "It is a case of right deal, right player, whether it be permanent or loans."
