Kenny Jackett confident on Millwall return

Boss Kenny Jackett insists Wolves will do him justice at his Millwall reunion – and they will keep the same game-plan.

Wolves return to action at the New Den after a two-week break seeking to end their defensive woes which have seen them concede eight goals in three games.

Their record of two points from the last nine has seen them slip to eighth in the Championship, although they remain just two points off the top.

Jackett has spent a productive two weeks on the training ground with his players trying to iron out the defensive concerns.

And the head coach reckons they will come out with all guns blazing in South-East London.

He said: "When we start again at Millwall, we've got to make sure we're ready - and we will be.

"We're really looking forward to this next run of games – Millwall away, Leeds away and Middlesbrough at home in the middle of it.

"They give me a lot of confidence in terms of what I see in training because I see quality and I see enthusiasm.

"We need to concede fewer goals because eight in three games doesn't give us a great chance.

"It's not necessarily all about that either – we've got enough quality players and enough quality football about us, and whether we play home or away, we won't change our game.

"We'll play the same way and we'll try to take the game to the opposition. The players are enthusiastic, well organised and they train hard.

"We have a good attitude, they're a good group and we have a minimal amount of injuries this week, which is good."

Jackett believes the players have the quality to go on a run like they did at the start of the season.

He said: "Generally, the players do give me a lot of confidence. They have a good attitude, they can all pass the ball and move well and the fundamentals of the team now are there."

Jackett will leave a decision on whether Bakary Sako starts on Saturday tomorrow.

The five-goal winger played for Mali in their African Nations Cup qualifier at home to Ethiopia in Bamako last night.

Sako isn't due to reach Paris until today before returning to Compton in the morning.
