Proud Kenny Jackett today urged Wolves to cash in on their momentum and declared: "Let's make this an outstanding era."

Wolves lifted the League One trophy having added two national records to the six club milestones they have achieved in 2013-14 with Saturday's final-day 3-0 win over Carlisle.

They eclipsed Charlton's marker for most points in the third tier with 103 and now have the most clean sheets ever at that level, 25.

Excited head coach Jackett, who celebrated after the game with three generations of his family, heralded the start of a successful period for the club.

"This is right up there for me, the best season, and congratulations to the players who are the ones who have done it and deserve all the plaudits," said Jackett.

"I've said to everyone including the players we don't want it to be an outstanding season, we want it to be an outstanding era if we can.

"We've got to build on this and use it if we can. We've got to look forward optimistically now and be excited about the future."

Jackett has already stated the aim next season is promotion again and he is confident about Wolves' chances in the Championship.

They will be joined by Fulham and Cardiff, who were relegated from the Premier League on Saturday, and one of Norwich, Sunderland or Albion, although the latter two have a game in hand and the Baggies have a vastly superior goal difference to the Canaries.

"It's a very good league and in no way will we under-estimate the league, but we shouldn't be frightened of it and should be confident," said the boss.

"We've been planning for the Championship for a number of weeks and will continue to do so.

"We'll go into the Championship now a lot more positive and looking forward to it more than Wolves did last time.

"We'll go in there positive and with people who haven't played at that level before and want to make sure they can do it."
