Wolves today added Nenad Milijas to the transfer list as boss Stale Solbakken quickly abandoned his chase for £3m-rated Pedro Geromel.

Serbia international Milijas joins Steven Fletcher, Christophe Berra and Adam Hammill on the list of players Wolves are inviting offers for, while Matt Jarvis has told the club he wants to leave.

"We're looking to see if Nenad can find a club and he agrees on that," said the boss. "He's been here for a long time and needs to play regularly."

It was thought Solbakken wanted to include Milijas in his plans after a story saying he tried to sign him for Cologne last season.

But the Norwegian is prepared to allow the 29-year-old, who is in the last year of his contract, to leave on a loan or permanent basis and feels Wolves have enough cover in central midfield after signing Tongo Doumbia.

"We'll see what comes in but Nenad is really keen to play now because for a long time now, he's just played a few games each season," he said. "He's at an age where he needs to be playing regular football.

"We have five other central midfielders with Karl Henry, Tongo Doumbia, Dave Edwards, Dave Davis and Jamie O'Hara when he's fit, so we should be fine."

As for Geromel, the manager believes growing Spanish interest has quickly forced Wolves from the race for the man who was his Cologne captain, with the Portuguese setting his heart on a move to La Liga.

Seville and Celta Vigo are two clubs interested but other La Liga clubs are now expected to come in and offer superior terms.
