The Baggies face French champions Paris Saint-Germain in their first game of pre-season in Austria at 5pm UK time.

It will be the first time Phillips steps on to the pitch in Albion colours, and the first time he gets to prove to head coach Tony Pulis he was worth the £5million given to Queens Park Rangers.

Rondon is dangerous with his head, but he struggled last season with poor deliveries into the box.

Supporters are excited about the potential impact a new speedy winger could have on the club's record signing.

"That's my game," said Phillips. "I speak about my goals, I need to add more goals, I know that. But the assists, when I'm getting the ball wide I'm looking to beat my man and get crosses in the box.

"Hopefully we can form a partnership and get plenty of assists, plenty of goals."

Some of PSG's first-team players will be rested for tonight's game after their excursions at Euro 2016, but it's still a glamorous tie to make a debut in.

"They're one of the big teams you want to play against," said Phillips. "They have quality players, lots of different nationalities, players that can put their own stamp on a game.

"Provided I'm fit and strong I'm looking forward to making my debut."
