Club legend John Wile reckons supporters will soon be banging down the doors of the Hawthorns to watch if West Brom keep delivering entertainment.

The former Baggies defender and managing director has in the past been critical of the team's style of play under head coach Tony Pulis.

But after watching fine displays in back-to-back home wins over Crystal Palace and Manchester United, he is eager to see more of the same.

Albion host struggling Norwich City tomorrow looking to make it four wins from five in the Premier League.

And Wile said: "This is an entertainment business and I'll tell you the truth, I don't come to all the games. The reason I don't come to them is I don't like the way we play.

"If the games were like the Crystal Palace game, I'd be knocking on the door every game, and so would the fans.

"People like to be entertained, this football club has a heritage and I think it's important that that heritage is maintained.

"Football clubs throughout the land have a heritage, ours is to play attacking, attractive football, to score goals and to try and score one more than the opposition."

Earlier in the season, Wile – who made 619 appearances in more than a decade at the Hawthorns – described Albion as a 'tough watch.'

But the 69-year-old has huge respect for Pulis, who could yet deliver the club's best-ever points haul in a Premier League campaign.

Albion need 11 points from their final nine games to beat the current best total of 49, achieved in 2012-13.

Wile added: "Anybody who's achieved what he has achieved in his time in football knows what he's doing.

"The fella knows what he's doing, and I know from my own experience, both as a manager and as an executive at the football club, you can't always get what you want.

"I'm sure he would love to put his team out there to play attacking football if he felt he had the right players, because it's so much easier to watch on the eye and he's a football man.

"He would enjoy getting the plaudits rather than struggling through and getting a few negative comments like those which have been around."
