The 26-year-old is joining on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

The former Spurs man has been at the Baggies' training ground this morning, but his deal needs to be rubber-stamped by 12 noon if he's going to play against Posh tomorrow.

Although the move is nearing its conclusion, Albion head coach Tony Pulis was coy about how far along proceedings were.

"We're interested in Sandro but nothing's been done yet so that's ongoing," he said.

"Whether we can do a deal or not we'll have to wat and see.

"We're working on it if we can get a deal done we'll get a deal done."

A product of Brazilian club Internacional, Sandro moved to Spurs for around £8million in 2010.

QPR signed him for £10million in 2014, but he hasn't played a single game for them in 2016 and the London team are trying to cut their wage bill.

He's been brought in to provide cover in midfield with James Morrison out for two months with a ruptured hamstring and Darren Fletcher a doubt for tomorrow's game with a knee problem.

Pulis confirmed that once again, he would pick a full-strength side in the FA Cup.

"I'll pick a strong team again," he said. "I know it's a three-game week, I think if they're well managed and well prepared then they should be able to cope with three games a week."
