Spurs had four separate bids for the forward turned down by Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace last summer, but the North London club are believed to be lining up another offer for Berahino.

Despite plenty of speculation surrounding his future, Albion have so far received no bids this window for last season's top scorer.

Spurs have agreed a fee of £12m to sell winger and rumoured Albion target Andros Townsend to Newcastle United.

And with that money they are now reportedly going to re-ignite their pursuit of Berahino.

Peace doesn't want to sell the striker for anything under £20m, but with head coach Tony Pulis refusing to start him, Spurs are hoping to test the chairman's resolve.

Even though the Magpies are on the verge of buying Towsned and have already picked up Jonjo Shelvey, they're still believed to be in the market for a striker.

Steve McClaren's side have been linked with Berahino this month, but are also understood to be interested in Chelsea's Loic Remy.

Meanwhile, the main branch of the Albion Supporters' Club is meeting tomorrow in the East Stand of The Hawthorns for a tribute night to the late Don Howe.

Howe made 379 appearances for the club as a player across 14 years, and was manager for four years.

Former Albion teammates including Graham Williams, Mickey Fudge, Ray Fairfax, Stan Jones and Brian Whitehouse will be there to reflect on his career. The meeting starts at 8pm.
