The 21-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at London Road. Nabi came through the ranks at Albion but never made an appearance for the first-team.

He spent the first part of the season on loan at Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League.

Albion host Posh in a fourth round FA Cup tie next week, but an agreement between the clubs means Nabi will not feature.

Nabi said: "It has happened very quickly and this is a very important move for me. It came to the stage where it is time for me to play some games and when Peterborough came calling, I jumped at the chance.

"The players that have come into this football club and gone on to do great things recently shows what can be done.

"I am excited to play some football now. I want to help the team get promoted into the Championship and score some goals along the way.

"The move happened very quickly, I got a phone call from the agent and he asked me my thoughts and I said 'go for it 100%'. This is a big club and I am delighted to be here.

"I have been at West Brom since I was six or seven years old so it is a big part of my family and my two younger brothers are also there so it is a big move but one that I am looking forward to."
