Craig Dawson: Forget Albion horror show

Craig Dawson has called on West Brom to quickly move on from their Everton horror show before Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.

The Baggies blew a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at home to the Toffees on Monday and now face a Palace side seventh in the Premier League.

Yet Tony Pulis' men are unbeaten on the road in the league this term and yet to concede a goal away from The Hawthorns.

Defender Dawson, who admits they must learn from the mistakes made against Everton, nevertheless believes the lunchtime date at Selhurst Park provides the ideal chance for a quick response.

He said: "It was massively disappointing to lose the game," he said. "As a team we pride ourselves on clean sheets and defending well.

"To be two goals up and lose the game 3-2 is really disappointing. We can't dwell on the result we have a tough game coming up on Saturday at Crystal Palace.

"We have to learn from our mistakes and get ready for the weekend."

Albion will assess the fitness of Gareth McAuley after the defender missed the Everton defeat with a calf strain.

Meanwhile, boss Pulis has been linked with a January move for Blues winger Demarai Gray.

The 19-year-old, who turned down a move to Leicester in August, is among a number of wide players understood to have been scouted by Albion over the past 12 months.

Gray is likely to cost in the region of £3.5million.
