Video: Gareth McAuley signs new Baggies deal

Key defender Gareth McAuley has signed a new one-year contract at West Brom.

The Baggies have moved quickly to head off rival interest from Leicester to re-sign the 35-year-old centre-back.

McAuley was out of contract at the end of last season with the Foxes keen to take him back to the King Power Stadium.

But negotiations have progressed in the last week and McAuley has now penned a new contract.

McAuley joined the Baggies from Ipswich on a Bosman free transfer in 2011 and has played 138 times for Albion, scoring eight goals.
