The club have confirmed the final remaining tickets for what promises to be a memorable occasion were snapped up this morning.

Saturday's fixture will pay a lasting tribute to Astle, with Albion donning a replica of the famous white 1968 Wembley strip in which their never-to-be-forgotten centre forward enjoyed his most iconic moment.

The Jeff Astle Foundation will also be launched by his family, which will promote care of other sufferers and research and education into CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy). Jeff passed away from the disease in 2002 at the age of just 59.

Chairman Jeremy Peace has already welcomed the "extraordinary response" from Albion fans as he looked ahead to what will be a special day.

In a statement that will be published in Saturday's special 148-page programme, Peace said: "Astle Day has clearly struck a chord with supporters from all corners of our fan base and generated an extraordinary response.

"But then Jeff Astle was an extraordinary figure at The Hawthorns."
