New West Brom boss Tony Pulis has again insisted he wants to keep Saido Berahino at the Hawthorns.

The Albion head coach admitted a huge offer could tempt the Baggies to sell, but insisted he has no desire to offload the 21-year-old.

And the Welshman praised Berahino's attitude since he was appointed last week, saying: "We'd like to keep him.

"If you are asking me whether I want to sell him now, not at all because he has been absolutely first class.

"You have a situation where (Luis) Suarez goes from Liverpool when they finished second last year and they sell him because it was the right deal for the football club."

"We've had no offers for Saido. He is scoring goals and been a pleasure to work with.

"He has been the last on the training ground every morning been doing extra work with Kempy (Dave Kemp) and Jewelly (Paul Jewell).

"The important thing is we have to make sure he has a clear mind when he goes on the football pitch."

Meanwhile, Pulis is still targeting new faces in the January transfer window, saying: "The chairman has been very helpful with respect of transfers.

"It's very easy to go out and sign players who don't improve squad, clogging system. This is the toughest window to do that. There are not that many players of that quality available."
