Berahino has another chance to make his full England debut tonight in the Auld Enemy clash with Scotland at Celtic Park following his impressive start to the season with the Baggies.

But Anichebe, who started alongside Berahino in Albion's last Premier League game, claims fans and the media have a responsibility to help keep the 21-year-old grounded after his whirlwind rise to fame.

"At the moment every time you turn the TV on it's about Saido and it must be a different experience for him," said Anichebe.

"As long as he can take that in his stride and just keep working hard, training hard and doing the right things he will become a really top player.

"He's a quality player and he will be a quality player for years to come if he can keep his head right.

"He is young and there is a lot of pressure and expectation on him right now, but as long as he can keep doing exactly what he's been doing, not listen too much to the media and things on the outside and keep his feet on the ground, he will be fine.

"Everyone here tries to give him support because it's a lot of pressure for him to deal with."

An appearance tonight would make Berahino Albion's first England outfield player for 30 years.

Anichebe said: "If he plays I'm sure he'll do well but the media and everyone else just needs to keep him grounded and hopefully that will get the best out of him.

"It is very difficult and you can get caught up in the hype but as long as you have good people around you then you should be OK."
