Albion have put together a team who can achieve whatever they want, in the view of one of the club's major new signings.

moreVictor Anichebe cites Gareth McAuley's last-gasp equaliser at Fulham as the turning point which has put the Baggies on course for another memorable Premier League campaign.

Steve Clarke's team return to action against Stoke this weekend with the worries of their opening performances now replaced by excitement for the campaign ahead.

"This club can achieve whatever they want," said the 25-year-old £6m signing. "When I was at Everton, we were always looking below us, and West Brom were always on our tails.

"But we've brought in some good players, that's all the club needed."

Anichebe believes Gareth McAuley's last-gasp equalizer in the draw at Fulham – Albion's first game after the most dramatic transfer deadline day in the club's history – was crucial.

"The most important game was the Fulham game when Gaz scored in the last minute and that brought the team on a whole lot," he said. "I think that was the real turning point."
