The Saddlers' skipper, who joined the club from Leyton Orient in 2011, has started every game for Dean Smith's side this season.

And now the 34-year-old is hoping to mark the career milestone with victory at the Community Stadium.

"To make my 200th appearance tomorrow will be a great achievement for myself but I'm hoping it can be a successful one with a win," he said.

"Playing for Walsall has been a very enjoyable part of my career and I'm hoping that I can top it off with a successful season this year.

"There have been a few highlights. The Wembley run was very memorable and we've had some big games at the Banks's against Wolves and Preston.

"Now it's important that we try to get the win tomorrow.

"When I'm out on the pitch I won't be thinking about my 200th game – it will all be about getting a positive result.

"We're in good form and will be looking to put in a good performance.

"If we can get a good result then it will be a very memorable 200th game."

Chambers saw his twin brother and former Saddler James retire from the professional game last season.

But the midfielder revealed he is looking into coaching opportunities for when he hangs up his boots.

"Dean Smith is a very good manager and I've known him and his assistant Richard O'Kelly for a long time," Chambers added.

"They make it a learning environment and encourage everyone to work hard and keep improving no matter how old you are.

"I'm thinking of going into coaching after I finish playing, and here is definitely a great place to observe and learn."
